Recently some neighbours have been in touch about the number of drivers that appear to ignore the 20mph speed limit that is in force throughout the estate. Some people feel that the situation has become even worse recently as a result of the roadworks on Milton Road which are causing delays and therefore more drivers are cutting through the estate in an effort to bypass the traffic. The situation seems worst in Orchard Avenue and Leys Road, but we expect that it might deteriorate throughout the estate when the Residents' Parking scheme comes into operation.
If you're concerned about dangerous driving, and would be willing to help us to try to improve matters, please get in touch. Initially we are planning to borrow some equipment so that we can conduct a survey to see how fast people are actually driving, so we will be looking for volunteers.
