Resettle Chesterton is very pleased to have been matched with a family of 5, originally from Iraq, who will be coming to live in our neighbourhood this autumn. The group is working hard to make a detailed resettlement plan for them, and is working on furnishing and equipping the house, and making some necessary upgrades. In the meantime, you are warmly invited to two fundraising events. On Sunday 30 October there will be a concert by the fabulous Swan Singers at Arbury Road Baptist Church, beginning at 2pm. Tea and cake will be served afterwards! Entry is free, but donations are encouraged and all the proceeds will go to Resettle Chesterton. On Friday 11 November, there will be a fundraising quiz hosted by our neighbour Jeremy Musson in the Church Hall of St Andrew's, Chesterton. Please book your tickets via eventbrite, or in person from Rosie Tween (29 HPA) or Barbara Thomas (18 Orchard Ave). Tickets £10 per place, or £55 for a table of 6.
